I Changed My Thinking & I Changed My Life

I know what you are thinking. How woo woo right? Sounds too easy? She is talking total BS! Trust me, I know because I have been there too. 

When I first started listening to podcasts and reading self improvement books, I thought the exact same thing. Or at least my brain did. Essentially, I was calling "bullsh*t" on the whole situation. 

Want to know something, though? 

The only BS is you telling yourself that it is BS.

See you can literally rewire your brain and change your life. Yes, you read that correctly. 

We all know our brains are designed for survival. That means we are designed to AVOID danger. This includes putting ourselves OUT of our comfort zones and I don't think I need a science degree to tell you that is where ALL personal growth and development happens. 

The second thing you need to know is this: your subconscious does not know the difference between the truth and a lie. And that means YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN TRUTHS. 

The reality is most of our human fear stems from the crap we tell ourselves everyday. You see the most important conversation you have every day is the conversation you have with YOURSELF.

If you continue to tell yourself you aren't good enough to get the job, you won't. If you tell yourself you aren't pretty enough or funny enough to do what that woman you aspire to be like is doing, newsflash! You probably never will be!

But YOU can change all of this.

And the greatest thing is that it is SO simple; all you need to do it tell yourself a new set of truths:

I am good enough....nay I am WORTHY. 

I am beautiful and funny and brimming with EXCELLENCE.

The negative talk? That is a LIE your mind is telling you in order to avoid danger. Once you realize that and you can separate that out, you start to notice when it kicks in. And when it does? Well... that is when you laugh and say 'OK, thank you, mind. I am safe.' 

Start to take stock of the dialogue you have with yourself every day and for every negative thought you have replace that with the EXACT opposite. This is also known as affirmations.

So, when i find my MIND telling me I am not good enough I instead tell myself 'I am BRILLIANT'. When I hear my danger fearing mind telling me that I am an imposter in this coaching world, I tell myself 'I have so much to offer to so many women.'

This is hands down the BIGGEST thing that has changed my life.
